RE: Storage Questions

Leave it unplugged and install a battery disconnect switch at battery post.Show your wife how to throw the switch.Even make a little video on how to do it,so she can do it any time she wants.

RE: toilet problems

I had a trailer that had an elbow before the poop hit the tank.Plugged up all the time. Solution was to put more water in bowl to flush and less tp.

RE: Windscreen Dropped

Once it pops anything goes.It doesnt surprise me the other side popped.Mine started on the left, then closed a month later.Driving to Tenn. I heard a huge wind rush and looked up to see my windshield sticking out about 2 " then my wife says her side popped.I kept driving and get to campground, all freaked out.I level and it all went back together.I went to dealer,it was still under warranty, they had a glass shop reseat it.The dealer couldnt tell me why it popped, but after watching my MH twist when self leveling I assumed that was it.

RE: Windscreen Dropped

First you need to find out why.Have you twisted the frame trying to level? Other cause may be opening is cut to large. Mine popped out and it was reseated and havent had the issue again.

RE: Atwood Hot Water Heater

No, you dont need it and its not a good idea to put one in.Suburban uses one because of the material the tank is made of.An anode is a sacrificial rod that rots out before the tank get attacked.Atwood uses a ceramic coated tank.

RE: Need advice on Class A price.... Family deal and not sure.

Sounds pretty tasty to me.Like someone said, essentialy free.Is it worth it to you is the question.Aside from sweat equity, figure the cost of tires ,etc. The plus is you know its history. The 454 has had its share of header problems , check them.BTW you can clean and paint that paneling a light color.

RE: Class C Cab rebuild project

I love these threads , I admire you guys and someday want to do a project like this. That being said a buddy of mine just did the same repair 2 years ago on a class c. This is classic water damage and happens to a lot of em. I would use the aluminum as a skin. For the wood bracing ,I would go for something stronger than standard pine, like pressure treated(a lot would disagree)Then back up the joints with framing plates.I have websites for windows if you need it.

RE: Refer not cooling - my solution

Your post holds a lot of value, something I find rare here. I have run into the same situation on my MIL class c. I faulted and assumed it was the fridge. I relied on someone else testing 12 volt at battery, battery was dead, gfi at campground pole kept tripping, she never told me that. She insisted the fridge was junk.I fixed ground, let battery charge and all was good.I also found a new way to use my battery jumper box.

Most are from the house, but it also depends on who had your MH before you.If they did any battery mods.
